Get together with the CCFC community for a fun and educational cooking class in partnership with Sustainable Solano!
Led by Stephanie Jordan, local food program manager & chef, the class will begin with a brief tour of the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) site in Benicia with information on how to get fresh, local produce (and much more!) each week from local farmers. Using that week’s local, seasonal food offerings, Chef Steph will lead a cooking demonstration, crafting a simple yet tasty farm-to-table dish, perfect for weeknight cooking. Menu planning, storing produce to prevent waste and information on the different farms will be covered in the class.
At the end, participants will enjoy a light meal together, with time for questions and conversation.
Join us at Heritage Presbyterian Church in Benicia and discover how to turn seasonal produce into simple, flavorful dishes!
Free, but REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
Space is limited to 25 tickets!
